Why can't you buy sunlight?
Sunday makes indoor sunlight: an artificial skylight that feels like a sunny day and acts on your body like one.

I'm Nat and I started Sunday in 2023.
I moved back to London one winter after spending some time in LA. I felt awful, and it was just the lack of sunlight. Everyone knows sunlight makes you feel great. So why can't you buy it?
I hung a film light over my desk. It helped, but I didn't want a lamp. I wanted the feeling of a sunny day. So I set out to make that.
I made the first prototype with my friend Sean. It was a zip-tied, leaking monstrosity. Still, after I installed it in my flat, I realised it was something I couldn't live without.
Today every Sunday Light is handmade in our London workshop.
I want Sunday to be the daylight company, getting sunlight to as many people as possible.
Before Sunday
Professor Russell Foster, who discovered the receptor in the eye that sets the body clock, supervised my thesis on light and sleep at Oxford. He now advises us on the science and on setting up clinical studies.
My first company, Litho, made an augmented reality ring: a controller worn on your finger. We sold its hardware and designs in 2021.
“The Sunday Light is indeed the closest thing to sunlight you can buy. 10/10, no regrets.”
“I can't believe the difference the light has made. It's like a beam of sunshine above our kitchen table.”
“It is a gloomy Oxford winter but under our Sunday Light, it is astonishingly bright and cheery!”
