How Sunday Works
The problem Sunday was engineered to solve
Indoor environments are typically 50 - 100x dimmer than daylight. Your eyes adjust, so spaces feel bright, but your circadian system knows the difference. Traditional SAD lamps can deliver the required intensity, but only inches from your face.
Delivering daylight-level brightness across an entire room, comfortably, silently, and beautifully, required rethinking indoor lighting from the ground up.
Sunday produces 30 - 50× the light of typical SAD lamps, allowing daylight-level brightness to be experienced naturally across a space, rather than through close, focused exposure.
how sunday works
Our approach

01. Daylight-level brightness
34,500 lumens. Enough to fill a space, not just a spot.

02. Liquid-cooled
Silent, sealed thermal management for sustained high output.

03. Sunlight quality
95+ CRI. Colours appear as vibrant as they would in natural sunlight.

04. Follows the sun
Colour temperature 2650K - 6000K, automatically shifting throughout the day.

1. Atmospheric light dispersion
How Sunday delivers daylight-level illumination
The large reflective panel scatters light the way the atmosphere disperses sunlight, creating both a bright "sun" and a luminous, sky-like glow.
A high-fidelity LED is housed within the upper arm of the fixture. Light is directed upward onto a large overhead reflective panel, where it's scattered across the space.
The result: soft, indirect brightness that feels natural and comfortable, even at very high intensity.

2. liquid cooled
Built differently, by design
Most ceiling lights are designed for visual comfort and decoration, not physiological impact on how you feel. They produce relatively low light levels and rely on air cooling, which limits how bright they can be used continuously.
Sunday's innovative cooling system was developed to support its unprecedented light output. Water-based coolant flows silently throughout the structure, and is completely self-contained (requiring no plumbing or maintenance).
The result is a one-of-a-kind lighting system, designed to perform indoors, every day.

3. Sunlight quality
Engineered for natural light
The quality of light matters as much as the quantity. Most artificial lighting distorts colour, making environments feel flat or harsh, even when technically bright.
Sunday's high-fidelity, full-spectrum light achieves a CRI of 95+, meaning colours appear as vibrant and true-to-life as they would in natural sunlight. The result is light that looks and feels natural, not clinical.
*The Colour Rendering Index (CRI) is a measurement for the quality of an artificial light source. The higher the CRI value (up to 100) the closer the light is to matching sunlight in its ability to represent colours correctly.

4. Follow the day
Live in sync with daylight
Sunday features variable colour temperature ranging from a cool 6000K (ideal for bright, energising daylight) down to a warmer evening tones (2650K), enabling synchronicity with the sun.
While colour temperature plays a role in visual experience, circadian responses are primarily driven by light intensity and timing, both of which Sunday is designed to control throughout the day. With deep dimming and optional automatic scheduling, the light adjusts throughout the day to match natural circadian rhythms.
