Professional installation

1. Add installation when you order. One click at checkout, alongside your light.

2. Send us a few photos. We'll email you for a couple of photos of your ceiling and the nearest power point, plus your ceiling height. This is just so we can confirm everything is straightforward before we book anyone.

3. We book the visit. Once your light has arrived, a qualified electrician comes at a time that suits you. The visit usually takes 1-2 hours, and you're left with the light up and working.

• A visit from a qualified local electrician, arranged and paid for by us.
• Removal of an existing ceiling light if one is in the way.
• Mounting to your ceiling at two fixing points, like a chandelier of similar weight. Concrete, plasterboard and most other ceilings are all fine.
• Wiring into your existing lighting supply, and testing before they leave.

Installation at this price covers the typical home or office. We just need:

• Power at or near the mounting point. An existing ceiling light fitting is perfect.
• Ceiling height from 240 cm (94 in) up to around 3.5 m. Higher is often still possible, we'll just confirm access first.
• An address within 25 miles of central New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle or London.

If your space needs more than this - a new wiring run, a new switch, special access equipment, or building permissions (some New York buildings ask for contractor insurance certificates, for example) - we'll tell you before anything happens and quote the extra work first. Or you can simply take a full refund of the installation fee.

• Full refund of the installation fee any time up to installation day. No reason needed.
• If the photo survey shows extra work is needed, you choose: take a quote for the difference, or a full refund.
• Need to rearrange the visit? The first reschedule is free.
• If anything is damaged during installation, we'll put it right.
